Terms of service
Last updated 9 October 2026 (version 2026-10-09). These are the terms between you and Nextcore Technology (“NextFit”, “we”) for the NextFit apps and website. By creating an account you agree to them.
What NextFit is, and is not
NextFit shows your steps, your workouts and your weigh-ins on one timeline so you can see whether what you are doing is working. It is a tool for noticing trends. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. Talk to a clinician before changing your diet, exercise or medication, and stop using the app if it is making you feel worse about your body rather than better informed.
Who can use it
- You must be 16 or older. We will delete accounts we learn belong to younger people.
- One account per person, with your own email address, which you confirm with a code before groups open.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. “Sign out everywhere” on your profile ends every session if you think it has leaked.
Groups and what you write
- Groups show members each other's daily steps and, unless you switch it off on your profile, your workouts and a map with at least 200 m (or, if you choose Large, 500 m) removed from each end. Weight and body fat are never shown to anyone, by design, and no setting changes that.
- Comments, display names and group names are yours; you must own the right to post them, and you agree not to post anything abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexual, illegal, deceptive or spam, or anything that targets a person.
- Anyone can report a workout, comment, name or group, and block a person. Blocking is mutual. A report never deletes anything by itself; an operator looks at it, normally within 24 hours, and may remove the content, reset a name or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Suspension ends every session; you can write to us to appeal.
Community challenges
- Community challenges are open step challenges that NextFit runs. Anyone with a confirmed email can join one without a code, up to 5,000 people per challenge. Everyone in it sees your display name and steps, and nothing else: workouts, maps, comments and kudos are never shown in a community challenge. Never your weight or body fat.
- The same rules as any group apply, and so does the ranking rule: steps typed into NextFit, and unusually high days, are shown but never ranked.
- Pick a display name you are happy for strangers to see. We may remove someone from a challenge, reset a name, or close a challenge that is being misused.
Workplaces
- An employer or other organisation can run NextFit challenges as a workplace. Joining one is your choice, with the code they give you, and you can leave at any time from the Workplace page.
- A workplace's admins see the names of people who joined and weekly step totals for everyone together, counted from the day each person joined — nothing at all for a week with fewer than five people walking, and never one person's numbers, workouts, weight or body fat. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
- Admins cannot remove members; we do that at the organisation's request. An organisation that runs a workplace agrees to use its totals only to run challenges, and not to make joining, or any result, a condition of anyone's job or benefits.
- Team groups inside a workplace are ordinary NextFit groups and follow every rule above.
Your data
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: we read from Health and never write to it, we never show your body composition to anyone, we do not sell data or run ads, and you can export or delete everything yourself.
Agreeing to these terms is not the same as agreeing to the processing of your health data: NextFit asks for that separately, with its own box, because the Data Privacy Act treats health information as sensitive. NextFit can't show you a trend without it. You withdraw it by deleting your account, after downloading everything if you want a copy.
NextFit Plus
- NextFit is free. NextFit Plus is an optional subscription for looking further into your own data and further back into your groups' past weeks. It adds 26- and 52-week trend windows; the deeper look at whether last week's walking shows up in this week's trend (the lag, and heart-rate-zone minutes); your training load over 26 and 52 weeks; the Plus programs (First 10 km, Zone 2 base, Faster 5 km and Ride base) with their sessions; your routes, with your typical and best time on each; a private monthly review; and a year of weekly challenge results in every group. Plus never changes what you share or who can see it: the year of challenge results holds the same names and step totals every member of the group saw when each week ended, only further back. Nothing to do with safety, privacy or your data rights is ever part of it.
- Plus is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, monthly or yearly, at the price the store shows before you confirm. The store takes payment and its terms apply to it.
- A new subscriber gets a 14-day free trial, once. It turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends: on the App Store at least 24 hours before, on Google Play any time before.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel in time: on the App Store at least 24 hours before the period ends, on Google Play any time before it ends. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your NextFit account does not cancel a store subscription.
- If Plus ends, everything you recorded stays and everything free keeps working. A Plus program you were following pauses where you left off and picks up again if you take Plus back.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history). If a store refunds you, Plus ends when the refund goes through.
- If we ever stop offering Plus, we will let it run to the end of the period you paid for.
Ending things
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Everything that belongs to it goes with it; groups you own pass to the longest-standing other member, or close if you are the only one.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if the service is discontinued, and we will tell you why where the law allows.
The legal part
- NextFit is provided as is. Trends are estimates built from the readings you give it; sensors and scales are imperfect and so are we. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you take based on the app, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months (nothing, if you use only the free version).
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Nothing in them removes rights you have as a consumer where you live.
- We may update these terms. When the change matters, we show the new version when you next sign in and ask you to accept it; the version number at the top changes.
